On successful completion of this subject, students will be able to:
1.
Demonstrate knowledge of relevant human dimensions theories, concepts and methods.
2.
Reflect on students’ own understanding of the relevance, importance, and utility of including human dimensions in fisheries management.
3.
Communicate the relevance and importance of a human dimensions approach and the relevant human dimensions concepts to others within a fisheries management context.
4.
Develop and plan a human dimensions study, select relevant methodologies, and demonstrate how study results can be used to aid management decisions.
5.
Enhance writing skills by applying human dimensions theory and methods to analysing real-world fisheries management and policy issues.
